Over 100 years ago the beginnings of mechanical floor cleaning began to simplify arduous manual work and in the course of the 100 years, customers’ needs have helped to shape the scrubber drier into what it is today.
It wasn’t until 1986 that the first walk behind model was introduced that scrubbed, vacuumed and swept improving cleaning performance though and since then the scrubber drier has become an integral part of floor cleaning.
Customers’ requirements for technology for different floor textures, machines for heavily furnished areas and eco-friendly machinery have shaped its evolution and with new technology being designed every day and the rise of digitisation and automation, new possibilities are on the horizon for floor cleaning and the scrubber drier.
Autonomous cleaning may yet be the trend for the next 100 years of scrubber driers.
