A Korean cleaner recently found seven gold bars worth £240,000 whilst emptying a rubbish bin at Incheon International Airport.
The cleaner would have been able to make a substantial claim thanks to South Korea’s ‘Finders Keepers’ Law if after 6 months the bars had not been claimed.
The law doesn’t apply to employees on company property though and the airport quickly issued a statement saying the cleaner was working as a member of airport personnel and it was part of their job to find lost things.
So it looks like it’s another day on the ground for the cleaner instead of jetting off at Incheon Airport.
What have you found and lost whilst at work, we’d love to hear your tales too.
