We current have a number of opportunities available for Cleaning Operatives / Kitchen Porters in Central London working in 4 and 5* hotels. Duties will include:-
- Collecting and washing up pots and pans
- Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment
- Unloading deliveries
- Keeping work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised
- Other basic cleaning jobs as requested by management
Previous experience within the hotel, restaurant or leisure industry is preferred. These are permanent positions working 8 hours per day from 7.00 am – 3.00 pm or 3.00 pm – 11.00 pm but flexibility is required as from time to time you may be asked to cover other shifts.
This position will involve working on weekends and bank holidays and you will work no more than 5 shifts per week unless additional shifts have been agreed.
£8.21 – £8.31 per hour.
In addition to these roles, we are also looking for a Cleaning Supervisor.
The successful candidate must have previous similar experience and ideally have worked for a 4*/5* hotel, be able to train, monitor and supervise other members of staff and have strong communciation skills.
You will be responsible for ensuring the cleaning to the back of house areas is carried out to a high standard and your duties will include:-
- Managing a team of cleaning operatives and kitchen porters
- Carrying out staff inductions and training and being responsible for health and safety compliance
- Receiving and assessing client feedback ensuring service level agreements are adhered to
- Identifying service improvement areas and actioning
- Organising staff rotas
- Monitoring staff attendance and timekeeping
- Providing HR & Payroll paperwork to head office
- Checking cleaning supplies
- Cleaning equipment, food preparation areas, work surfaces, walls and floors
This is a permanent position, working between 4 and 5, 8 hour shifts per week although as supervisor you may be required to work additional shifts if the business dictates. You will also be required to work weekends and some bank holidays. Hours of work will be 7.00 am – 3.00 pm or 3.00 pm – 11.00 pm, you will need to be flexible to work both.
£9.21 – £9.31 per hour
