For some surfaces cleaning or sanitising may suffice depending on the use of the surface but during the current climate disinfecting is recommended too, if there were 100,000 bacteria on a surface after disinfecting only a few would remain. Disinfectant can be used to clean as it will remove dirt and grime but it should then be used again to disinfect.
