Despite the new National Living Wage dampening market profitability, a new report from MTW Research indicates that the contract cleaning market is set for £100 million growth in 2016.
The analysis comprising of some 70 top cleaning companies showed contract cleaning sales are set for above inflation growth this year, boosted by sectors which include health, care homes, education and private commercial markets.
By 2020, the forecast indicates total contract cleaning market sales will rise by £500 million and many of the findings of the report make for positive reading for the cleaning industry.
So although in the short term the National Living Wage is set to reduce profitability, it is likely to install benefits for the market in the medium to long term and new technologies continue to offer considerable growth opportunities as companies seek to increase the effectiveness of their cleaning services.
Some seven years after the recession, the report depicts a healthy market for well positioned cleaning contractors and those who continue to enhance their service and like ourselves offer more specialised cleaning services like at height window cleaning and marble, granite and stonework cleaning, renovation and maintenance.
The overall future therefore for contract cleaning appears positive buoyed by volume and value growth.
