Transport for London’s Elizabeth Line opened on the 24th May stretching more than 100 km from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Abbey Wood in the East.
10 of the 41 stations are new and the line is expected to serve up to 200 million people each year and despite the proposed tube strike tomorrow, USS is still delighted that we played a part in the opening of this new line.
Responsible for post construction cleaning at a number of the stations including Paddington, Canary Wharf, West Drayton, Southall, Hayes & Harlington and Abbey Wood, we completed a wide variety of cleaning procedures pre-opening which included the following:-
- Entrance and concourse floor deep cleaning
- Balustrade, handrail, edges and ledges cleaning
- Escalator cleaning
- Signage cleaning
- Glazing cleaning
Have you travelled on the Elizabeth Line and how clean did you find the stations, we’d love to hear from you.
